The official name of Ibiza is Elvissa. It is one of the Balearic Islands. The length of highways is only 42 kilometers, so don’t expect to drive a lot. Cities are: Santa Eulària des Riu, San Antonio and Ibiza Town.
The Balearic Catalan is the official language. However, a lot of people understand English or German. If you know Spanish, you can communicate.
The best way to go to the island is by plane. There are good connections between Ibiza and: Dublin, Edinburgh, London and Copenhagen. You can also go to the island with a boat.
In order to move across the island, you can use Ibiza Bus Timetables. You can also rent a car. You will need a valid driving license. You should know that local drivers are very bad at driving. There are higher chances for smaller accidents and collisions. It is safer to choose a taxi. For €20-30 it will drive you between cities. But, you should always choose licensed taxi drivers. They are 50% cheaper and they are safer as well. Because cities are small, and the whole island isn’t very big, you can walk. It is nice to walk on the island with the warm climate.
You should see: Es Vedra (a mystical island rock), Atlantis (this is a secret cove, so you must find a local who will give you its locations) and the old part of Ibiza Town.
The island is very popular as a wedding destination. Many couples come here to have their wedding. If you are one of them, you can hire Wedding Organizers (+34 646418182; 699119019)
